Advertising funds the testing, photography and writing behind HackDecor. This page sets out how the commercial side works, for readers and for brands.
For readers
Advertising never affects editorial judgement. No advertiser can commission a favourable article, see a draft before publication, or choose which pages carry a campaign. Sponsored material is labelled. We accept campaigns from home, decor, furniture, DIY and general consumer brands; we decline tobacco, weapons, unlicensed gambling, and products whose claims we could not defend.
Formats
- Display – leaderboard, medium rectangle and wide skyscraper, served programmatically in standard IAB sizes plus responsive units.
- Sponsored project or guide – written and photographed with the brand, tested by us, published in our voice, marked as sponsored.
- Newsletter placement – a single sponsor slot in the email readers subscribed to.
- In-article product credit – a named product inside an existing guide, subject to editorial approval and honest use.
- Affiliate partnerships – commission links disclosed in the article body.
Audience
HackDecor reaches readers who want quick, cheap decor fixes. Intent is practical rather than casual browsing, and traffic peaks around weekends, moving seasons and project periods.
Standards
We do not publish claims that conflict with product labelling or building regulations, we do not promote unsafe work, and we may end a campaign readers reasonably experience as misleading.
